Heaven

Los Lonely Boys - Heaven lyrics
Artist: Los Lonely Boys lyrics
Album: Los Lonely Boys
Year: 2004
Title: Heaven Print

Save me from this prison
Lord help me get away
Cause only you can save me now
From this misery
Cause I've been lost in my own place
And I'm getting' weary
How far is heaven
And I know I need to change
My ways of livin'
How far is heaven, Lord can you tell me
Cause I've been locked up way too long
In this crazy world, how far is heaven
I just keep on prayin' Lord
Just keep on livin', how far is heaven
Lord can you tell me, how far is heaven
I just got to know how far, how far is heaven
Lord can you tell me
[translated from Spanish]
(You that's in a higher place
Send me down a blessing)
Cause I know there's a better place
Than this place I'm livin', how far is heaven
And I just got to have some faith
And just keep on giving, how far is heaven
I just wanna know how far

Out Laws

Los Lonely Boys - Outlaws lyrics

Title: Outlaws Print

(Henry) I'm remembering ol' Waylon and good ol' Johnny Cash
Man they're an inspiration to what I am
But don't get me wrong I'm still texican to the bone
Lord I'm Passin on the song just like my daddy to his sons, aw that's right
This one's for the outlaws before me
(JoJo) You know indians and outlaws don't mind breaking rules
We'll gladly take your money now if you play us for a fool
You can't make us run and you know you can't make us hide, oh no
You know we have our fun and we don't quit without a fight
So this one's for the outlaws before me
Well outlaws are forever running wild and free
Kickin in all the doors they didn't even need no key
They don't let nobody tell em how it's posed to be
This one's for them outlaws
This one's for the outlaws before me
(Enrique) Well I've seen that Folsom prison
Been down that lost highway
You ain't never heard of me
CauseI do things my way
I sing my song and my boys they follow me, they follow me
We carry on throgh it all we still believe, we still believe
This one's for the missing outlaws just like me
Oh yeah let's do it Willie
(Willie) I've always made a livin
Making music with my friends
Out on the road again
Lord knows where I've been
Sometimes the man didn't like the way I am
So I'll put it in a song
Just take you some and pass it on
This one's for the outlaws just like me
Well outlaws are forever running wild and free
Kickin in all the doors they didn't even need no key, that's right
They don't let nobody tell em how it's posed to be
This one's for the outlaws
This one's for the outlaws
This one's for the outlaws
This one's for the outlaws before me.

It was spring on 2004 when I first heard "Heaven" of Los Lonely Boys in a Texas Tejano radio station, I remember asking a friend about them. He was also clueless of these talented hermanos from San Angelo Texas.

Then later the following months I started hearing their Heaven song in more popular radio stations. Not only were these Tejano boys blazing through the Hispanic music market but they were now reaching other races aswell.

I digged their style, the way they dressed and their humble personalities. They reminded me of the guys I grew up around in El Paso Texas. Their love for electric blues and their natural Texas roots, gave their music a unique soulful groove and a hint of good old-fashioned rock'n'roll with a Latin twist.

The band consists of three brothers: Henry, Jojo, and Ringo Garza. They have followed the tradition of their dad, Enrique Garza Sr., who also was in a band made up of his brothers called The Falcones, which played conjunto music in southern Texas during the 70s and 80s. Henry, Jojo, and Ringo sang backup for their father during his solo career, even before they were teenagers.

These brothers create music that flows like water in a stream, no diversions. Thats the quality only brothers in blood who have been together all of their lives could produce. Thats why Los Lonely Boys will always be Los Lonely Boys and never break up. Family never breaks up, especially families from Texas.

Los Lonely Boys play a style of music which they dub as Texican Rock n' Roll, combining elements of rock and roll, blues, soul, country, and Tejano. Their influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, and Ritchie Valens. The group frequently headlines tours, and has also performed with music legends such as Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, The Rolling Stones, Tim McGraw, Ronnie Milsap and Carlos Santana. Their most recent tour included shows with the Doobie Brothers, Indigenous, and the Rolling Stones.
