In the world of women’s fighting there is one warrior who stands above the rest. That fighter is 5-time world kickboxing champion Kathy Long of Southern California.

Kathy’s continued determination and passion for mixed martial arts has attracted more fans and women fighters than ever before. Kathy’s clever personality, attractive looks, and aggressive fighting style has given women’s fighting a fresh appeal.
            As a veteran to women’s kickboxing Kathy has impressed many with her swift speed and effective punching combinations. Kathy Long has brought a sense of excitement never seen before in professional women’s kickboxing which has helped motivate amature female fighters to pursue her lead. She has prevailed in fights with significant fighters such as Japanese luminary Kyoko “Kamikaze”, French champion Dani Rocardo, and Canadian Champion Nora Daigle.
 
Kathy holds 4 Black Belts in Kung Fu San Soo, Kung Fu, Aikido, and Shorinryu Karate. As a professional kickboxing world champion, Kathy Long is notoriously known as “The Punisher”, Queen of Mean, and “Princess of Pain”. She has maintained  an almost unblemished professional record of  (18-1-1/5), with her only loss with Britain ’s Lisa Howarth. A rematch was expected later that year however due to a severe cut injury Howarth was unable to take the fight against Long.
 
Today Kathy is preparing to fight in MMA, making her mixed martial arts debut in early 2009.  She is practiceing for this battle with top-level trainers such as Betiss Mansouri, Romie Aram , Ahmad Reese, Machado Brothers , Lisa Twight, Gokor Chivichyan, Javier Vasquez, and  Maria Moralez. Kathy would like the opportunity to fight the top women’s MMA fighters including Gina Carono and Kim Couture.
 
Kathy Long has demonstrated admirable leadership and has helped bring women’s fighting into the lime-light. She is an accomplished fighter, musician, author, and talented artist. We hold Kathy Long in the highest esteem for her dedication, persistence and sportsmanship in helping raise the bar in women’s fighting in a male dominated sport.

Kathy decided to retire from kickboxing in the mid 1990s in order to pursue her film career. She is heavily involved in the movie industry including fight choreography, stunt work, and acting. Her work in the movie industry includes performing as a stunt double for Michelle Pfeiffer in “Batman Returns”, fight choreographer for “Death Becomes Her” and multiple appearances on television shows, including “Walker, Texas Ranger” with Chuck Norris.  Kathy has also appeared on in movies such as Natural Born Killers, Knights, Rage and Honor, The Stranger, Under the Gun, and Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. Kathy has made appeared in features for E Entertainment, Hard Copy, Action TV, The Today Show, Chop TV, and Street Justice.
