Vernon “Tiger” White faced Canadian ECC lightweight champion Lew Polley at Wargods “Five” MMA fight promotion Saturday May 30th at the Viejas Casino in Alpine, California..

UFC veteran Vernon White and former American Top Team member and IFL veteran Polly competed for a chance to win the vacant Wargod’s light heavyweight belt. Polly now has the opportunity to be crowned Wargod’s light heavyweight champion June 20th when he faces his next match. Polley fights out of Temecula’s Team Quest and is an up and comer with incredible strength. UFC, Pride, and King of the Cage veteran fighter Vernon “Tiger” White fighting out of the Lion’s Den lost by unanimous decision.

David Gardner took on San Diego’s Joe Duarte who was featured on Spike TV’s Ultimate Fighter reality show. Duarte defeated Gardner in a 1st round via TKO. Steve Magdaleno defeated Carlos Garsas via submission (arm bar) in round 1. Bryan Travers defeated Tom Belt via unanimous decision. Tarec Saffiedine defeated Mike “Showtime” Aryano via submission (key lock) in round 1. Rick Slaton defeated Mentoa McKenzie via submission (strikes) in round 1. Leland Gridley defeated Jorge Sanchez via submission (triangle choke) in round 1. Leland Gridley defeated Jorge Sanchez via submission (arm bar) in round 2. Finally Gareth Joseph defeated Jose Diaz via TKO (strikes) in round 1.
