Throughout our enjoyment of photographing and documenting lowriders, we’ve decided to single out and categorize each make and model.

Today we begin with our exclusive “Limited Look” edition, a tribute to all Buick Regal owners.

There are some lowriders that just have that special look. Buick Regal, along with its 3 g-body cousins all have it. Buick Regal is one of those lowriders many cannot forget. Seeing a well restored Regal lowrider on the streets today brings back memories of the 80's, a time when American auto makers took pride in designing excellent looking luxury coupes.

THE DOCTORS CAR

Owning a Regal, say back in 1985 signified upper middle class wealth. “The Doctors Car”, as the Buick Regal was once referred to, became a popular choice for doctors and other white collar professionals. GM ranked Buick 2nd, before Cadillac in its luxury car hierarchy.

SLEEK

A Regal lowrider is guaranteed to steal the eyes of many. Regal is sleek with its aero dynamic front end, chrome light bezels, marker lights, grille and stainless steel rocker panels.

ABUSE

There is nothing more tragic than seeing the hopping of hydraulics destroy the frame and g-body of a Regal or any other young classic for the matter. Hydraulics ad to the sleekness of Regal and should be used slow, low & easy. This old ride has earned it's keep and should be respected.

CASH FOR CLUNKERS

In 2009 nearly 700,000 classic cars (78-87) were crushed and turned into scrap metal courtesy of Uncle Sam and our nations Cash For Clunkers campaign. Tons of hard to find grilles, fenders, hoods, trunks, stainless steel moldings, dashboards, steering wheels and wood grain bezels gone forever.

NEW OLD STOCK

There's no sweeter word to ears of a car club veteran than the word "New Old Stock". During the early 1990's Buick auctioned off warehouses full of its New Old Stock. Distributers bought up the stock and now sell Buick Regal parts at premium prices on EBay and other classified outlets. This has left Regal owners who are obsessed with perfection with no other choice but to fork over the cash.

ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES

When it comes to quality car restoration, especially that of Buick Regal 1987 and below, 80% of the process is finding New Old Stock replacement parts and the following 20% is improvising. Regal Limited is a fully-loaded-upgrade of the Regal Base. Accessories included sun and vinyl roof, stainless steel rocker panels, wood grain door and dash bezels, power windows and more. These limited edition accessories are now nearly impossible to find in New Old Stock.
