I can live with the danger everywhere, terrorists, gangs, bad drivers, violent criminals, and terrorists it is part of life today .Our Founding Fathers lived in dangerous times and put their private lives on hold for years til they got rid of King George But when you need to fear terrorism from your own government Fed and State, that is terrorizing!
Picture this second hand scenario, that happened to a dear friend of mine, last weekend!
Stage Center:
Great night to go down to TJ with some good companions, have a few drinks, eat some great food, a few hours of fun. "Okay, let's head on home fellas and gals."
Border crossing: "Passport and Birth Certificate" not asked, demanded. OOPS, forgot about the birth certificate being required now! "Sorry, don't have mine with me, just my passport"
"YOU! Step out of the vehicle, Come with me!"
Okay, mo problem-get this cleared up, and head home. Told my friends:"See ya in a few minutes"
Six hours later, saw the outside world. Six hours of humiliation, intimidation, and TERROR!

Commanded to empty pockets, take off shoes, submitted to full body search.(you paint the rest of that picture!)'A legal US citizen crossing into his own country at an "open border", with a valid passport. You could get in and out of Iran with just a passport!

It is setting in a room full of hard chairs, in rows, and back to back, filled with people who wonT look at you, or acknowledge your presence. Just walking into the room is oppressive. Then you are told:":SIT THERE! DO NOT MOVE -DO NOT LOOK ANYWHERE BUT STRAIGHT AHEAD. DO NOT TURN YOUR HEAD OR LOOK AROUND,DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT, DO NOT SPEAK!"
"How long--?"" DO NOT TALK!YOU WILL BE TOLD IF AND WHEN YOU CAN GO!:
If you need to go to the bathroom, you better hope a guard comes into your limited view area.
You sit-and sit-and sit-no one comes to get you. You cannot stretch your legs, or raise your arms can't even raise your head or turn your neck to get the kinks out.."NO TALKING-DO NOT LOOK AROUND!"
I do not understand why are we here? Why am I here? Talked to a supervisor when first processed, she said she would look into the problem, and let me know what is going on, never saw her again.
No one comes, oh look! A cruddy bag lunch, who really wants to eat anyway , might make too much noise chewing, or might choke and no one would save me! Just want to go home! What time is it, what Day is it? Where are the friends, are they alright? Do they know what is happening?
"YOU--! COME WITH ME!" OHH OOHH WHAT NOW?
"You can go now" handing me my possessions in a brown paper bag, and my shoes. No what, why,sorry, nothing. Do not ask---.the mind says, just get out of here!
Six hours in HELL---- and it ain't naked ladies and guys having fun it is terror and torture. Some of te people had been in that hell hole for days! At least in a jail cell, you can move around!
How did this happen? An American citizen held without a hearing, ,no Habeas Corpus, no charges, no bail===under THE PATRIOT ACT (Patrick Henry is turning over in his grave!) this legal and appropriate!
Seeing the sad happy faces of greeting friends!-they had to wait without knowing what was going on, they tried to get information, and no one would tell them anything.except-JUST WAIT1
How horrible for the families of those people still in that hell hole-waiting days with no word!
Can you picture walking out of HELL, dirty, hungry, thirsty, carrying your possessions in your hand, humiliated, demoralized feeling like an alien in the land of your birth? An illegal from anywhere in the world, can find a way across our "OPEN' borders, north and south, BUT IF YOU ARE A CITIZEN, BEWARE, BE PREPARED!You may not get back into your own country.What is wrong with this picture?
Wake up America, VOTE, let us get some reason and sanity and , most of all, OUR FREEDOMS BACK!
Pay your traffic tickets, submit your income taxes on time, do not get involved in any legal or civil suits, these all go on your "record" Don't breathe, there is no free air here!
By the way, the infraction that was the reason for this detainment: an overlooked unpaid traffic ticket, driving without insurance, eight years old!
Going to hell for a traffic ticket ,losing businesses and homes because the government wants the land, or the IRS sends in a SWAT team to collect taxes that may not even be owed. Kids go to prisons for schools, metal detectors, mo lockers, spot searches..A 7 year old gets a conduct referral and detention for saying God Bless You when a classmate sneezed.
Businesses and churches being closed down or fined for being Politically Incorrect, or voicing the wrong opinion, or confronting a government agency, when you are in the right, or going to hell over a traffic ticket!
It is now illegal to smoke, declaw your cat, name your pet with a proper name (human name, Joe, Jerry, Oscar, Lulu.) A family loses their children, when they have done nothing wrong, when the school or social services think they are not raising them properly. Everyday occurrences overlooked by most until it happens to them.
I have, have you? Tell us your horror stories. Then make sure you go to the polls and vote. Let's take back our freedoms, vote in people who represent US!
Vote America, pay as much attention to your government that you do to the latest big sports event, that blockbluster movie, the hot new game, or the hypnotic dreck on TV, the latest news from the Hollywood Elite.
We need to vote our liberties and our Constitution(all these bad things are unconstitutional you know) back/
Fight and fear the terrorists from abroad and within, but fight and fear the terrorism of our present government and judiciary Federal and State.
Write your representatives and your President. Give us back our Constitution and Freedom!
God Bless America land of the not so free and the home of the unbrave and intimated!
