Hydroponic Farms

On my last article, I wrote about desalination and nuclear power plants!
Guess what? A very forward thinking man, Ed Sayres, of Los Gatos, Ca, has
avery neat Idea!
Mr. Sayres wants to build off-shore nuclear farms, turn out 1.5 million
gals of desalinated water that will be used to cool the plants.
Hydroponic farms will be used to grow produce, herbs, and plants.(That
ain't no dirt, Baby)would be built around the desalt plants. These in turn
,would be surrounded by aquatic farms.(See, I told you fish could thrive
nuclear plants and oil rigs!).
The waste from the hydroponic farms would feed the aquatic farm and the
waste from the aquatic farm would be turned into fertilizer to feed the
hydroponic farm, proving-that what goes around comes around
Of course Germany and Japan are already doing this. There are 30,000 acres
of hydroponic farms worldwide. California is at the back of the bus with
800 acres!
Here we sit on the largest Ocean and we do nothing with it, except run
around it on boats surf and swim and dump toxic waste throw back fish we
cannot eat and call it progress.
What a circular world we live in!
Side bar: It will take 50 years to complete a project like this, do you
think we should have started sooner?
