Soon after we rolled into the BBQ Grind in Huntington Beach California we observed this unique looking band set up shop and prepare their gig. They appeared pumped up and ready for violence. Violence is what the crowd got once this energetic band hit the strings of their amped up guitars. Hard core drum thumping and angry lyrics riled up the crowd who were having the time of their lives over cups of beer. Our salutes go out to Disaster Zone, a great California experience.

About Disaster Zone

On January 1st 2008, Jinx and Bobby met in a cylinder warehouse and sat down to try to write some music that they could call their own. Within minutes 2 songs were born, Hangovers and This World. The two let their influences take over and create music that they would want to here themselves and their influences would be proud to say they helped create. Soon Jinx and Bobby found themselves in need of a bassist and a drummer. After trying out a few friends, Bobby asked his brother in arms, Folsom Fear, to lay down the attack on the bass. After trying out some drummers, the three picked up the youngest member, Quinn, off Main St, Huntington Beach to come fill in on drums, later asking him to join the band. The four are on a journey to do what they love most, create music that people can relate to. Rock and Roll.

Sounds Like

Agent Orange had sex with the Ramones and they had a baby that sounded like a sped up Social Distortion with a Rancid sing a long. Then the baby met the U.S. Bombs and started hanging out with the Sex Pistols. As it grew it met the Dwarves and smoked some pot with NoFx. It started a band with Black Flag and left and joined The Misfits. It now has grown up and become DisaAster Zone.

Violent Poetry

Release
this burning rage,
throbbing underneath my skin,
heaving and pulsing, trying to suppress.
but bursting like a ripe sore,
brilliant red trickling down the dull purity,
breaking the flesh and tearing into pain.
brusied limbs whipping in stuttered convulsions,
as silent screams drip down battered jaws.
slowly killing the demons,
as everything in me dies.
-Sorrow Nightshade

Shattered
Bashing my head against the mirror,
As the dull, aching pain seeps from my skull.
Harder and harder,
Submitting myself to the untamed rage.
My eyes snap shut,
As I feel the warm thickness trickling down my forehead, past my swollen eyes.
Shaking and drenched,
And I sink to the floor,
Sobbing and dizzy, my battered face buried in my trembling hands.
What have i done?
I force my blood soaked fingers away from my eyes,
And stare into the mirror.
All i see is red, shattered glass...
-Sorrow Nightshade

The feeling of hatred inside.
The rage I show outside.
The anger, the blood, the pain it feels so goddamn good and real.
You made me this way.
I have no conscious or feelings of regret.
The sharp blade of the knife,
the sounds of your screams is music to my ears.
Your blood from the blade is all the satisfaction I need.
You made me this way.
It was all worth it.
I have no regrets.
I am satisfied.
Madison 2000'

Bleed

I want you to bleed for what you have done to me.
I hate you, I despise everything about you.
I want you to die.
I will not shed a tear or feel any sorrow.
When i get my wish and your are dead,
I will come and spit on your god-damn grave!
