2009 End of Summer Car Show & Carnival

Various clubs and athletes at Montwood High school in El Paso, Texas will be receiving better education and training this school year, thanks to the schools wrestling coach, administrators, local car clubs and sponsors.
Wrestling coach Leo Garcia, Patricia Arellano, Danny Gonzales, and other school staff organized the car show and carnival in hopes of raising funds in the benefit of their students at Montwood High.
The events theme was based on the memory of professional wrestler Eduardo Gory "Eddie" Guerrero who was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. A silver Chevy Avalanche with a detailed mural of Guerrero served as the tribute truck of the show.
Coach Leo Garcia's passion goes beyond wrestling, he is also a car enthusiastic who owns his very own onyx black 1972 Chevy Nova hot rod.
"We couldn't have achieved this without the help of the car clubs, car owners and everyone involved." said Garcia.
Hundreds of El Paso car owners participated in this humble cause by registering their unique and pristine rides for the visual amusement of dozens of spectators who attended the show.
There were over 120 Lowriders, Classics, Muscle, Street Rods, Trucks, Euros and motorcycles, as well as art exhibitions.
The great event also featured live music, dance performances, jumping balloons, ice cream, and face painting.
Car Clubs
If you ask most artists what they love to draw the most they will likely say gorgious women, colorful sceneries and beautiful cars.
Automobiles, modeling, music and art have always rolled hand in hand. That’s why every time you tune into any music channel or watch a thrilling action packed movie, you can best expect to see the star cruising around in an exotic automobile.
Or how about music videos, does beautiful cars and sexy woman ring a bell? Yes Cars is a form of art and every car club and car affectionardo out there building these cool creations are just as much as an artist as the muralists, tattoo artists, fashion designers, models, dancers, musicians, athletes and bikers out there who set the trends and make life on earth a much more intersting place.
