Artist Warren Heard

Extremely talented artist, Warren Heard of Los Angeles, was influenced to pursue his flair in art by a close family friend named Ghort Ellis. Mr. Ellis helped guide Warren in a very volatile early Vietnam era.
Warren grew up in California’s 1960 surf culture and graduated from Venice High School in 1968. Warren then continued his education by enrolling at the Kansas City Art Institute and was taught by1950s abstract expressionist Jim Wilson.
Heard later returned to Southern California to continue his career in art.
He was stirred by his surroundings of an emerging art culture and began experimenting with different art forms.
Warren Heard is the son of a hardworking World War II veteran father from East London. Warren’s mother worked for McDonald-Douglas in Long Beach, California during the war building aircrafts.
