C.A. Allow me say that it is an honor to feature you on our website. We feature quality people who we admire and look up to based off of their great accomplishments. As a combat vet in actions sports, what do you feel you gained while serving your country in IRAQ?
B.Knoblock: My service taught me team work and discipline. It also brought out a few key personality traits that I now use in my everyday life. Those three characteristics are discipline, passion, and the motivation to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment of it.
C.A. We admire, support and thank those who have served our country. What inspired you to join the service?
B.Knoblock: I was inspired by 9-11 and the trepidation that this country saw during the days that followed. To be completely honest I wanted to go to war and instilled the same fear that was bestowed upon Americans, in the hearts of the terrorists.
C.A. Tell us a little bit about the dangerous encounters you experienced while in Iraq?
B.Knoblock: Well, I was confronted with life and death and had to accept both.
C.A. What are your long term goals and where do you see yourself in the near future?
B.Knoblock: My goal is to surf and to travel the world . But, I would also like to become a symbol of success to kids trying to make it in the sport of surfing.
C.A. What surfer do you most admire?
B.Knoblock: Cory Lopez, because he is a down to earth guy who has spent his life perusing his passion. He has also encouraged me to pursue my dreams and not give up.
C.A. Which other true passions do you have other than surfing?
B.Knoblock: I would have to say that my family is one of the most important aspects in my life and through this a true passion. Along the lines of surfing, I also enjoy: working out, golf, motorcycles, cars, and ping pong (especially with my pop’s).
C.A. Where are you originally from?
B.Knoblock: Fountain Valley, Orange County California
C.A. What is your favorite TV show?
B.Knoblock: The Sopranos, as you can see I fascinated by many different types of war.
C.A. Who are your favorite music bands of all time?
B.Knoblock: Jack Johnson, Slayer, Bob Marley, Rise Against, Bullet for My Valentine, and The Cure
C.A. Which war movie would you say is most realistic?
B.Knoblock: Black Hawk Down
C.A. What's you favorite mainstream sport besides surfing?
B.Knoblock: I grew up riding and racing dirt bikes so, Free-style Motor Cross is definitely one of my favorites. I love the adrenaline rush that comes from riding bikes.
C.A. Have you prepared yourself for life after action sports?
B.Knoblock: I am currently applying and testing to be a Law Enforcement Officer; I am assuming that is what you mean by life after action sports.
C.A. . What Motto do you live by?
