Bede Durbridge AKA: Durbo, The White Fijian Born: February 23, 1983 Place of Birth: Brisbane, QLD Australia Height: 6’1” Weigtht: 143 Favorite surfers: Andy Irons, Kelly Slater, Joel Parkinson Known as “ The White Fijian” for his friendly laid back attitude Bede Durbridge learned his wave riding skills at Point Lookout on Queensland’s North Stradbroke Island.
Durbridge comes from a closeknit family who have supported him over the years in participation in school competitions around Queensland.
Durbridge joined the ASP World Tour in 2005 and eventually managed to overcome Kelly Slater for the Rip Curl Pro Bells Competition.
In 2006 at the Boost Mobile Pro at Lowers, Durbridge managed once again to beat Kelly Slater in the finals.
