Battle of the Ballroom

 

IRVINE, CA - Roy Englebrecht Promotions presented southern California boxing fans with yet another exciting slug fest at the Irvine Marriott Hotel.

The action packed event showcased the boxing skills of several up-and-coming professional fighters including those trained by seasoned boxing trainers John Bray, founder of the John Bray Boxing Foundation and David Martinez of La Habra Boxing Club. Both trainers are well known for their unconditional efforts in training hundreds of troubled inner city youths.
The event received a great turn out of 1,412 boxing fans, as well as special guest appearances from undefeated American heavyweight champion Chris Arreola.
During the Main Event, undefeated lightweight Arquimendez Garcia (4-0-1) received cheers from hundreds of his fans after beating Johnny Fraizer (2-2-1) by a unanimous decision of (39-37). The slug fest continued with the fight of Mia Etelapelto (1-0) vs. Mia Henderson (0-1). Etelapelto won a unanimous decision by scores of (40-36)

The event then turned brutal after undefeated heavyweight Joe Hanks (8-0) assaulted Hildo Silva (4-1-2) causing the referee and physician to stop the fight. Hanks won by TKO. The event proceeded to hit full throttle after heavyweight Lionel Davis (1-0) knocked out Mike Finney (1-6) with a powerful overhand right.

Other fights included those of heavyweight Scott Alexander (1-0) vs. pro debuter Jesus Hernandez (0-1), and Light heavyweight Tyrell Hendrix (3-0-1) vs. Ramon Camacho (1-1).
